Sisu Taxi Oy Equal Employment and Non-Discrimination Policy

November 12, 2025

Purpose and Scope

Sisu Taxi Oy is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees and contractors are treated with respect and dignity. This policy outlines our commitment to equal employment opportunities and to the prohibition of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It applies to all aspects of the employment relationship and covers all employees, job applicants, interns, trainees, and independent contractor drivers associated with Sisu Taxi Oy. The Company complies with applicable Finnish and EU laws on equality, non-discrimination, and data protection (including the Finnish Non-Discrimination Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation). We expect all staff and contractors to uphold these standards.

Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination

Sisu Taxi provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals based on their qualifications, merit, and business needs. We do not discriminate against any person on the basis of age, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or parental status, sexual orientation, religion or belief, race or ethnic origin, nationality, language, health or disability, family status, trade union membership, political opinion, or any other characteristic protected by law. All decisions regarding recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, compensation, benefits, and termination are based on objective criteria such as qualifications, skills, experience, and performance, and not on personal attributes or assumptions. Any differences in treatment must be justified by legitimate business requirements or legal allowances, not by bias or prejudice.

Harassment and Bullying

Sisu Taxi maintains a work environment free from harassment, bullying, and intimidation. Harassment includes any unwanted conduct, whether verbal or physical, related to a protected characteristic or otherwise, that creates an offensive, hostile, or intimidating environment. This includes derogatory comments, slurs, jokes, gestures, or any other demeaning behavior. Sexual harassment and any gender-based harassment are strictly prohibited. All employees and contractors must treat colleagues, customers, and others with courtesy and respect. Discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether in person or online, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Reasonable Accommodation and Workplace Adjustments

Sisu Taxi will provide reasonable accommodations or workplace adjustments to employees and contractors with disabilities or medical conditions, unless doing so would cause undue hardship. We will work cooperatively to identify appropriate modifications or supports, such as specialized equipment, accessible facilities, schedule adjustments, or modified duties, to enable individuals to perform their job duties effectively. We also strive to accommodate other personal or family needs, such as pregnancy or childcare obligations, when feasible. These accommodations help ensure that all individuals have a fair and equal opportunity to succeed in their roles.

Privacy and Data Protection

Sisu Taxi processes personal data of employees, contractors, and applicants only as necessary for legitimate employment and administrative purposes, in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish privacy laws. Personal information collected in connection with this policy (for example, information provided in a grievance or voluntary self-identification of diversity data) will be handled confidentially and securely. We collect only data that is necessary for legal or business purposes and retain it only for as long as needed to fulfill those purposes or as required by law. Employees and contractors have the right to access and correct their personal information as provided by law.

Responsibilities and Compliance

All Sisu Taxi employees, contractors, managers, and officers must comply with this policy and help promote an inclusive culture. Managers and supervisors are responsible for enforcing this policy, ensuring that staff understand and follow it, and addressing any issues that arise. The Company regularly reviews its practices and updates this policy as needed to maintain compliance with applicable laws and to ensure its effectiveness. We encourage positive steps to improve diversity and inclusion, such as targeted recruitment or training programs, when they are consistent with legal requirements and business needs.
